Half-Time Report: Liverpool 0-1 Arsenal

Lukas Podolski has given Arsenal a 1-0 half-time lead against Liverpool at Anfield.

The German struck when Santi Cazorla burst through the Reds' defence and poked the ball through to him inside the area.

Podolski stayed composed as he fired left-footed past Pepe Reina, scoring his - and Arsenal's - first goal of the season.

It could have been 2-0 to the Gunners had Olivier Giroud taken his chance at the Kop End, but the Frenchman missed the target.
