Toni Kroos insists that Bayern Munich will not take Arsenal lightly in the second leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie on Wednesday.

Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has insisted that he and his teammates will not underestimate Arsenal, despite sitting on a comfortable lead in their Champions League round-of-16 tie.

The Bundesliga outfit managed to snatch a 3-1 victory at the Emirates in the first leg, but Kroos has claimed that they "cannot afford" to start thinking that the quarter-final spot is in their grasp.

"We should not be talking about the draw for the quarter-finals yet," Kroos told Goal.com. "We have the return against Arsenal first. We will have to secure progress before we can think about the outcome of the draw.

"We have to be focused and cannot afford to underestimate Arsenal. They are a top team, as we all saw in the first leg. We have to put in another sovereign performance."

Real Madrid, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund are already through to the final eight of the elite European competition.
