Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman rules out January exits

No players will be leaving Accrington Stanley during the January transfer window, according to manager John Coleman.

John Coleman has insisted that none of his Accrington Stanley players will be sold during the January transfer window.

Young midfielder Josh Windass has been linked with a number of clubs in recent weeks, including Arsenal.

However, Coleman has stressed that neither the 21-year-old nor any other member of the squad will depart the Crown Ground under his watch.

"We will be taking no bids in January. I know the background to the Josh story. There was an Arsenal scout at our game against York but he wasn't watching anyone in particular," he told the club's official website.

"It's a compliment to Josh that he is getting mentioned as he is playing well but, while he is getting the attention, it means other players who are playing well are sneaking under the radar and that suits us.

"I have spoken to the players and they understand the situation and how we operate. They are loving getting the experience of playing regular football here."

Accrington, who face Newport County on Saturday, are currently fourth in the League Two standings.
