Beattie: 'Team in buoyant mood'

Accrington Stanley manager James Beattie has tipped his "buoyant" side to start the League Two season strongly.

Stanley will travel to Newport for the start of the campaign, and Beattie has picked a number of his players to impress during the 2013-14 season.

"They'll be in buoyant mood having been promoted last season and a buoyant mood given that they've had a good pre-season with no injuries," Beattie told Sky Sports News.

"I think we've got a superb back four in Nicky Hunt, Tom Aldred, Rob Atkinson and Laurence Wilson, and there's a couple of other signings - Danny Webber - I'll be looking for him to make a huge impact on in the league."

Beattie was appointed as the club's new manager in May.
