Scottish Premiership roundup: Aberdeen lose to give Celtic title

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish Premiership action as Aberdeen's 1-0 defeat to Dundee United sees Celtic crowned champions.

Celtic won the Scottish Premiership title without kicking a ball this afternoon as Aberdeen lost 1-0 to Dundee United.

Robbie Muirhead struck in the 13th minute at Tannadice in a match which Aberdeen had to win to postpone Celtic's title celebrations.

Ryan Stevenson scored the winning goal as Partick Thistle beat bottom-placed St Mirren 3-0, but Motherwell's 1-1 draw against Ross County means that St Mirren survive for at least another week. Scott McDonald gave Motherwell the lead in the 19th minute, but Liam Boyce equalised before half time.

Elsewhere, Hamilton Academical came from behind to beat Kilmarnock 3-2 thanks to goals from Jason Scotland, Darian MacKinnon and Nigel Hasselbaink.

Brian Graham equalised in the 82nd minute as St Johnstone drew 1-1 with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Results in full: Dundee United 1-0 Aberdeen, Kilmarnock 2-3 Hamilton Academical, Motherwell 1-1 Ross County, Partick Thistle 3-0 St Mirren, St Johnstone 1-1 Inverness Caledonian Thistle
