Team GB edge out Germany to win team dressage gold

Team GB win dressage gold

Team GB have won gold in the team dressage event.

They edged out Germany into second place to win their first gold medal in the team dressage competition, with the Netherlands winning the bronze.

Carl Hester and Laura Bechtolsheimer put Team GB into top spot with just one rider from each team remaining.

It was left to Charlotte Dujardin to try to secure gold for Team GB and she succeeded in producing a superb performance, scoring 83.286% to confirm victory.

It also secured Team GB's 20th gold medal of the London Olympic Games.
