James Denny wants to "cement" 10m synchro partnership with Tom Daley

English diver James Denny tells Sports Mole that he wants to be partnered with Tom Daley at 10m synchro in the long term.

James Denny has confirmed that he would like to dive 10m synchro with Tom Daley in the long term after winning silver with him for England at Glasgow 2014.

Although Daley was unable to retain his Commonwealth Games synchro title, the pair did manage to get on the 10m platform podium yesterday with a high-scoring final dive after starting the last rotation at the bottom of the standings.

Speaking to Sports Mole after tonight's individual 10m final where he placed sixth, Denny said that the pair are a good match for synchro and hopes that they can "cement" their partnership at this month's European Championships in Berlin.

"I think that our synchro is pretty good so I hope we get to do it for longer. If it goes well at the Europeans that will just cement it even more."

The pair only confirmed that they would be diving together at the Commonwealths on Wednesday, two days before the 10m final.
