James Denny: 'Tiredness affected me in Commonwealth 10m final'

Team England diver James Denny admits to Sports Mole that he was tired during tonight's Commonwealth Games 10m platform final.

English diver James Denny has admitted that he was short on energy in tonight's 10m platform final at the Commonwealth Games.

Denny competed on both the springboard and the platform, winning a silver medal with Tom Daley in the 10m synchro, over the past three days and said that he wasn't at his best as he finished sixth in the last diving event of Glasgow 2014.

"It was pretty good," he told Sports Mole when asked how he felt his evening had gone.

"I was a bit tired towards the end - I mean, I've done three days on the trot of diving so towards the end I was getting a bit tired, but the atmosphere was amazing so it really helped.

"The atmosphere been absolutely amazing. It's been one of the best things I've ever done, competing up here and coming away with a silver medal is a big bonus as well."

Denny will now compete again with Daley at the upcoming European Championships in Berlin.
