Spain's Sanchez Gil wins road race after four-man sprint finish

Spain's Luis Leon Sanchez Gil has won the men's road race at the European Games in Baku.

Sanchez Gil claimed gold after a thrilling four-man sprint finish. All four cyclists finished within a second of each other in 5:27:25.

Ukraine's Andriy Grivko and Czech Republic's Petr Vakoc won silver and bronze respectively. Sanchez Gil's teammate Jesus Herrada Lopez missed out in fourth.

Ireland's Connor Dunne and Edward Dunbar finished in 45th and 46th respectively.
