Father of Andy and Frank Schleck tells the brothers to quit cycling

Father tells Schleck brothers to quit

The father of Andy and Frank Schleck has said that he wants his sons to give up cycling.

The brothers both ride for the RadioShack Nissan-Trek team, but both missed the majority of the 2012 season.

Former Tour de France yellow jersey winner Andy broke his pelvis, missing the Tour de France and the Olympics, while Frank failed a drugs test in July.

Johny Schleck, who was also a professional cyclist, told Le Journal du Dimanche: "I advised them to quit cycling.

"Frank is depressed. He spent a lot of money on medical analysis and lawyers fees trying to prove his innocence. This is not a life."

The Luxembourg anti-doping agency heard Frank's case last week, and he faces a two year ban from cycling if found guilty.
