Andy Schleck ruled out of Tour de France with fractured pelvis

Schleck out of Tour de France

Andy Schleck will not be competing in this year's Tour de France after suffering a fractured pelvis.

The 27-year-old RadioShack Nissan racer was dealt the injury blow after crashing during his individual trial last week.

While the injuries sustained were not initially deemed threatening to his participation in the race, it is believed that Schleck will confirm his absence in a press conference this afternoon.

Schleck was awarded the 2010 Tour de France title after Alberto Contador was stripped of the victory after being found guilty of doping.
