Brooks the latest to commit to Yorkshire

Jack Brooks has joined several of his County Championship-winning teammates in extending his contract with Yorkshire.

The fast bowler, who took 68 wickets at an average of 28.02 last year to help the club to their first Division One title since 2001, has signed a new deal until 2017.

"I am enjoying my cricket and have had a brilliant 18 months with the club," Brooks told the club website.

"There is a great vibe around the place and I am confident we can continue to be a force."

The 30-year-old joined Yorkshire prior to the 2013 season following three years with Northants.

Brooks's new-ball partner Ryan Sidebottom, Alex Lees, Steve Patterson, Jack Leaning, Will Rhodes and Adam Lyth have all extended their contracts at Headingley this winter.
