Yorkshire youngsters Jack Leaning, Will Rhodes extend contracts

Jack Leaning and Will Rhodes have extended their contracts with Yorkshire until the end of 2017.

The highly-rated youngsters join Ryan Sidebottom, Adam Lyth, Steve Patterson and Alex Lees in committing themselves to the Headingley outfit this winter.

Batsman Leaning, 21, scored 465 runs at an average of 38.75 in his 10 County Championship matches last season to help the White Rose to their first title since 2001.

He told the county's official website: "It was very special to be part of a winning team in my first full season."

England Under-19 captain Rhodes played in two Twenty20 Blast matches in 2014 and has also made seven List A appearances for Yorkshire since making his 2013 debut.
