Hosts Sri Lanka lost the toss and were put into the field as Pakistan set about posting a big score to chase down.

Opener Mukhtar Ahmed started tentatively and added just two runs to the scoreboard before he was walking back to the dressing room.

Three Pakistani batsmen - Ahmed Shehzad, Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal - scored 46 to push the tourists to their final total of 175-5.

Thisara Perera was the only bowler to take multiple wickets, posting figures of 2-30 from four overs.
