Dimuth Karunaratne first to fall for Sri Lanka in rain-affected second Test

Sri Lanka have reached 40-1 at lunch on a rain-affected second day of the second Test against Pakistan.

Bad weather prevented any play taking place throughout Wednesday, and things did not look much better early on in Galle following more heavy downpours.

The tough conditions held off for long enough for the hosts to get proceedings underway, however, with Dimuth Karunaratne being caught in the slips by Mohammad Hafeez for 21 runs.

Kumar Sangakkara (4) and Kaushal Silva (8) remain at the crease in a shortened opening session to the second day, which left both sets of players frustrated at the lack of action.
