Sri Lanka level ODI series with Pakistan at 1-1

Kusal Perera's rapid 68 spearheads Sri Lanka's charge to a two-wicket victory in the second one-day international against Pakistan.

Sri Lanka levelled the five-match one-day international series against Pakistan at 1-1 thanks to a two-wicket win this evening.

Pakistan, after winning the first ODI by six wickets, won the toss and opted to bat in Pallekele.

They reached 287-8 from their 50 overs and Sri Lanka quickly set about chasing down the required target.

Like Azhar Ali (79) did for Pakistan, Kusal Perera led from the front for the hosts, blasting 68 runs off just 25 balls to keep Sri Lanka well above the required rate.

The third ODI takes place in Colombo on Sunday.
