Sri Lanka in control at stumps on day two

Sri Lanka have finished day two of the second Test against Pakistan in Dubai in a commanding position of 318-4 in their first innings.

Having started the day 108 runs behind Pakistan's first-innings total of 165, the visitors made steady progress and were 50 runs ahead by lunch on 215-3.

The final session belonged entirely to the Sri Lankans, although they lost Kaushal Silva just after tea for 95 as he was dismissed LBW by Mohammad Hafeez.

Mahela Jayawardene did, however, made it past his 100 and finished the day on 106, with Angelo Mathews seeing out the session as well. He will pick up on 42 at the start of day three.

Sri Lanka's lead is 153 with six wickets remaining in their first innings.
