Sri Lanka build lead against Pakistan

Sri Lanka build a lead of 106 runs in the morning session of day four of the first Test match against Pakistan.

Sri Lanka have opened up a 106-run advantage over Pakistan after dominating the morning session of day four in Abu Dhabi.

Pakistan ended Thursday's play facing a deficit of just seven runs after restricting their opponents to 186-4 at stumps as they attempted to reply to the hosts' score of 383 all out.

However, the tourists launched a fightback at the start of day four through Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal, who batted their way through the first two-and-a-half hours of the day.

Mathews ended the extended session on 56, while Chandimal has recorded eight fours on the way to an unbeaten 67 to take Sri Lanka to 285-4.
