Sri Lanka thrash sorry Netherlands

Sri Lanka have thrashed the Netherlands by nine wickets in Group 1 of the World Twenty20 in Chittagong.

The Dutch posted the lowest ever score in a T20 international when they were bowled out for 39 after 10.3 overs, allowing Sri Lanka to reach their target with 15 overs remaining.

Tom Cooper was the only Netherlands batsman to get beyond double figures while five of his teammates failed to register a single run.

Angelo Mathews and Ajantha Mendis took three wickets apiece for the Sri Lankans, who tore through their opponents with ease.

Sri Lanka then made light work out in the middle as Kusal Perera (14), Tillakaratne Dilshan (12) and Mahela Jayawardene (11) got them over the line.
