Result: Sri Lanka defeat Pakistan in ODI

Sri Lanka have defeated Pakistan by 25 runs in a one-day international between the two sides in Dubai this evening.

Touring Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to open the batting. Upul Tharanga top scored with a knock of 77 as they set Pakistan a total of 236 to claim victory.

Umar Akmal scored 91 runs in Pakistan's reply, but none of his teammates were able to produce a similar performance as they fell short.

Lasith Malinga was the pick of the bowlers for Sri Lanka, ending with figures of 3-36.
