Sri Lanka batsman Kumar Sangakkara has said that he will retire from Test cricket "by the end of August".
The 38-year-old has played in 130 Tests, averaging 58.66 and scoring 38 hundreds. He recently became only the fifth player in history to score over 12,000 Test runs.
"There are Test matches in June and July, and I will be done by the end of August. A series or two in June and in August, and that's it," Sangakkara told ESPNcricinfo.
Sangakkara has scored two consecutive hundreds at the World Cup, where he will play his final one-day international.
