AB de Villiers: 'South Africa not good enough'

South Africa captain AB de Villiers admits that his side did not perform well enough in their defeat to England in the ICC Champions Trophy semi-finals.

South Africa captain AB de Villiers has conceded that his side were not good enough in their defeat to England in the ICC Champions Trophy semi-finals.

The Proteas were comfortably beaten by seven wickets at The Oval on Wednesday.

"There are no excuses - I believe we have the talent and the potential to have won this tournament, but we didn't play well enough," De Villiers, who was bowled out for a duck, told Sky Sports News.

"It's been a great tournament, nice and short and sweet, and the best teams come up on top."

England will face either India or Sri Lanka in Sunday's final at Edgbaston.
