The South African-born cricketer previously confirmed that Quetta Gladiators' current Super League campaign would be his last tournament abroad, but he opted not to complete the full season.

"You will be missed Kevin Pietersen," the team tweeted. "Great career! Thank you for everything. Wish you could stayed with us till PSL final but we respect your decision."
Pietersen has played white-ball cricket around the world since being exiled from the England setup in 2014, with stints in India, the Carribbean, Australia and South Africa, as well as Pakistan.body check tags ::
