Palladino signs new deal at Derbyshire

Derbyshire's Tony Palladino has signed a new two-year deal with the County Championship Division Two side.

The 28-year-old bowler joined Derbyshire in December after being released by Essex at the end of the 2010 season.

"Coming to Derbyshire has been an excellent move for me and I'm very happy to have signed an extension," said Palladino. "I believe the team is moving in the right direction and I hope to spend a long time here at Derbyshire."

Palladino has taken 37 wickets at an average of 24.91 for Derbyshire in the County Championship so far this season.

"Tony has led the way with the ball this season," said Derbyshire coach Karl Krikken.

"His performances have been excellent and he is well on the way to a 50-wicket campaign."

Derbyshire continue their County Championship Division Two campaign with a home match against Gloucestershire on Wednesday, August 10.
