New Zealand continue solid start against Pakistan

A partnership of 76 between Tom Latham and Kane Williamson helps New Zealand reach 160-2 at tea against Pakistan on day one of the second Test in Dubai.

New Zealand have reached 160-2 against Pakistan at tea on the first day of the second Test in Dubai.

The Black Caps looked on course to make it through the afternoon session without losing a wicket, however Kane Williamson was dismissed in the penultimate over before the break to give Pakistan a breakthrough.

Following Brendon McCullum's dismissal during the morning session, Tom Latham and Williamson frustrated the Pakistan attack with some composed batting.

The pair put on a partnership of 76 for the second wicket, until Williamson was bowled by Zulfiqar Babar after making 32 off 86 balls.

New Zealand will resume the evening session with Latham (84*) and Ross Taylor (1*) at the crease.
