India lead by nine runs at lunch

India are leading New Zealand by nine runs at lunch on day two of the second Test in Wellington.

India resumed play on 100-2, after Cheteshwar Pujara put on a partnership of 77 with Shikhar Dhawan before being trapped by Trent Boult shortly before stumps.

They made it to 141, but Ishant Sharma edged a delivery to BJ Watling to end his innings on 26.

Dhawan continued to hit well and seemed to be on course for a century. However, Tim Southee got him out on 98 to give New Zealand a huge boost.

With lunch approaching, the Black Caps were able to grab the wicket of Rohit Sharma (0), with a maiden Test wicket for Jimmy Neesham.

That ensured that India finished the first session of play on 201-5, nine ahead with five wickets remaining.
