England enjoy morning session

England have enjoyed a successful opening session with the ball on day three of the second Test against New Zealand, reducing the hosts to 169-5 at lunch in Wellington.

New Zealand started the day on 66-3, but wickets for Stuart Broad and Jimmy Anderson have put the visitors in control with a lead of 296.

Following a solid start from the home side, Kane Williamson was caught and bowled by Broad for 42 before Dean Brownlie was out lbw by Anderson for 18.

Brendan McCullum has given New Zealand some hope with an unbeaten 52, while BJ Watling will join him at the crease after lunch on 19.
