Brendon McCullum to retire in February

New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum has announced that he will retire from all forms of cricket in February.

The 34-year-old is his country's second leading run-scorer of all time with 6,273 runs to his name from his 99 outings.

However, he has confirmed that the upcoming two-Test series against Australia at home will be his last.

"I've loved my opportunity to play for and captain the Black Caps. But all good things have to come to an end, and I'm just grateful for the wonderful experience," he said.

McCullum, who made his Test debut in 2004 against South Africa, has been the skipper in all three formats of the game since 2013.
