New Zealand head coach Mike Hesson has confirmed that all-rounder Corey Anderson will play no part in the remainder of the one-day international series against England.
The 24-year-old has been a fitness doubt since suffering a stress-related injury to his back during his side's 124-run Test defeat to England last month.
Now, it has been confirmed that Anderson will not feature in the remaining four ODIs as he requires further tests on a stress injury to his spine.
"Corey has been working hard to get back to full fitness for the ODI series but he hasn't been able to overcome this injury," said Hesson. "We felt the best course of action was to send him back to New Zealand for further assessment."
England have a 1-0 lead in the series following a record 210-run victory at Edgbaston on Tuesday.
