The Jets had to chase down their opponents' score of 133-6 but could only fall agonisingly short, despite the best efforts of Calum MacLeod, who hit 45 runs for his side.

Meanwhile, Karl Brown impressed with the bat for the Lancashire outfit as he scored 61 before he was eventually caught by Gordon Muchall.

Andrea Agathagelou and Arron Lilley finished on ducks for the Lightning, but the visitors managed to hold on to take the narrowest of victories.
