Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets

Mandeep Singh leads Royal Challengers Bangalore to a seven-wicket win in a rain-affected Indian Premier League match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won a rain-affected match against Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets in the Indian Premier League this afternoon.

The start of the match was delayed by rain, resulting in both innings being reduced to just 10 overs.

Kolkata did not appear to be put off by the weather, with Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa adding 20 runs off the first two overs, but the former was back in the pavilion soon after.

Andre Russell kept the runs coming as he joined Uthappa at the crease, hitting two sixes in one over before being run out just short of his half-century, leaving the Knight Riders to finish on 111-4 off their 10 overs.

Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli made a strong start in reply, with the West Indies batsman adding 21 off nine balls before being bowled in the fourth over.

AB de Villiers could add just two, but Mandeep Singh came out firing, adding 45 off 18 balls to take Bangalore past their opponents' total with two balls to spare.
