India have reached 109-2 at tea on day three of the first Test match with South Africa to extend their lead to 145 runs.

After bowling the hosts out for 244, India reached lunch on 31-1, but they improved during the second session to begin to build a sizable advantage.
Murali Vijay put on 70 for the second wicket with Cheteshwar Pujara before he was dismissed for 39 by Jacques Kallis, which brought Virat Kohli to the crease.
Kohli and Pujara remained patient for the remainder of the session to ensure that the visitors remain in control of the match ahead of the day's final two hours.
