India's Rohit Sharma to miss rest of ODI series against England due to injury

India batsman Rohit Sharma will miss the rest of the ODI series against England due to a broken finger.

India batsman Rohit Sharma will play no part in the rest of the one-day international series against England due to a broken finger.

The 27-year-old impressed by reaching his 23rd half-century for India in their nation's 133-run victory over England in the second ODI in Cardiff.

However, India will be without Sharma for the remainder of the series, as well as the Twenty20 campaign, after the batsman suffered a fracture.

Murali Vijay has been named as Sharma's replacement ahead of the third ODI for India, who currently lead the series 1-0 after the first clash was abandoned due to rain.
