Virat Kohli to replace MS Dhoni as India captain for first Australia Test

Kohli named India captain

India have confirmed that Virat Kohli will replace MS Dhoni as captain for the team's upcoming first Test against Australia.

Dhoni has been ruled out of the match in Brisbane due to a wrist injury.

However, the veteran wicketkeeper is expected to be back in action in time for the second Test.

India and Australia get their four-Test series underway at Brisbane Cricket Ground on December 4.
