Sunil Gavaskar: 'Virat Kohli should replace MS Dhoni'

Sunil Gavaskar has said that MS Dhoni should not be the captain of the Indian cricket team anymore.

The Indian cricketing legend believes that Virat Kohli should be given the chance to captain his nation in Test cricket.

"Till the fourth day of the Nagpur Test [against England], I would have backed Dhoni," he told NDTV.

"Now that Virat has come up with a hundred under trying circumstances where he curbed his natural game, he discovered a good part about himself.

"He is ready to take on the mantle of Test cricket. That needs to be looked at in a positive manner by everyone concerned as that is where the future lies."

India lost their four-match Test series against England 2-1.
