Mahendra Singh Dhoni believes that his bowlers have shown they are capable of winning matches in home conditions after their 126-run ODI win over England.

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni believes that his bowlers have shown they are a more dangerous proposition at home after their 126-run win over England.

India cruised to victory in the first one-day international against England in Hyderabad on Friday.

The win comes on the back of India's recent 4-0 Test series defeat and the 3-0 ODI series loss to the same opponents in England.

"We actually played quite well during the ODIs in England and our batsmen got us the runs," said Dhoni.

"But the rain there made it hard for our spinners to grip the wet ball and the seamers too were easy to score off since the ball would come on to the bat better after it rained.

"Tonight there was no dew and our bowlers showed that they can win us games if the conditions are in their favour."

The current five match ODI series between England and India continues with the second match in Delhi on Monday.

England haven't won a ODI series in India since 1984/85, when they won 4-1.
