MS Dhoni urges India to stick with "simple" approach

MS Dhoni urges India to keep it simple after continuing their World Cup defence with an emphatic win over Bangladesh in the quarter-finals.

MS Dhoni has urged his India side to keep it simple in their approach to defending the World Cup.

A 109-run victory over Bangladesh on Thursday secured a place in the semi-finals of the tournament, and Dhoni believes that the key to success will be to not stray too far from their instincts.

"One of the most difficult things to do is to keep it simple," India's captain told reporters.

"We are good thinkers and over-thinking can actually kill you, especially in an environment like this where there's already so much pressure.

"You start assessing everything because being human beings, that's what we do better than some of the other animals."

India will meet Pakistan or Australia in the last four.
