Kevin Pietersen "happy" to return to IPL with Delhi Daredevils

Kevin Pietersen has expressed his joy at returning to the Indian Premier League for the Delhi Daredevils.

The 33-year-old, who played for the side in 2012, was bought by Delhi for £880,000 at Wednesday's auction in Bangalore.

Following the news, Pietersen, who was deemed to be the star attraction in the auction, tweeted: "Morning - so happy to be back with the Delhi family! Lovely start to the day..."

The batsman was recently axed from the England squad by the ECB, who suggested that there was an issue of trust.
