Jonathan Trott will play his first competitive match in two months on Thursday evening when Birmingham Bears take on Northants Steelbacks in the T20 Blast.
The England batsman took another break from cricket in April after suffering a recurrence of the "stress-related illness" that saw him leave Australia early this winter.
The 33-year-old flew home in November after just one Test of the Ashes series, and did not play again until representing Warwickshire in the County Championship at the start of the domestic season.
That was his last appearance for the first XI, but Warwickshire have confirmed on their Twitter account that he will be batting at three for their T20 franchise, Birmingham Bears, at Edgbaston tonight.
Trott has scored 2,082 runs at a healthy average of 37.17 during his domestic Twenty20 career.
