Bangladesh strengthen lead over South Africa

Bangladesh have strengthened their lead over South Africa at tea on day three of the first Test in Chittagong.

The Tigers edged ahead in the second session of the day, despite losing Mushfiqur Rahim (28) early on.

Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das combined well to put together a strong partnership when play resumed, with the latter reaching a half-century while his teammate fell three runs short.

Both men were unable to deal with the bowling of Simon Harmer, with Mohammad Shahid (25) being sent packing in between as South Africa looked to restrict the runs.

Taijul Islam (9) and Mustafizur Rahman (3) also fell before tea as they struggled to find their groove, meaning that the hosts were bowled all out with a narrow advantage to hold on to heading into the second innings.
