The Utah Jazz have been unable to come close to agreeing a new deal for Gordon Hayward, according to reports.
Contract negotiations were believed to have started during the early stages of pre-season but confirmation of an extension has not yet arrived.
Hayward has suggested to the franchise that they are not close to meeting his desired wage, according to Yahoo Sports.
The Jazz recently awarded Derrick Favors a lucrative new deal and a similar offer to Hayward could make a big impact on their future salary cap.
Hayward will become a restricted free agent next summer if he does not sign a fresh contract with the Jazz before the deadline on Friday.
