Serbia start strongly in 3x3 basketball

Pre-tournament favourites Serbia have begun the 3x3 basketball tournament strongly in Baku.

They ran out dominant 21-14 victors over Italy in Group B, with the world's top-ranked individual player Dusan Domovic-Bulut leading the charge.

"I can't say that we played a great game, but we played well," Domovic-Bulut told reporters afterwards.

"The main thing in our team is that when one person is struggling, there is always someone else who can lead or can score."

Elsewhere in the basketball, Azerbaijan are unbeaten after beating both the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
