San Antonio Spurs handed Houston Rockets tie on Christmas Day

The San Antonio Spurs will host the Houston Rockets on Christmas Day, it has been announced.

The new fixtures for the NBA 2015-16 season are released today, but the Spurs have already been told their festive schedule.

Two days before they host the Rockets, the Spurs travel to play the Minnesota Timberwolves, while they will also have a home game on Boxing Day, although the identity of their opponents is not know.

The Spurs, who won the 2013-14 NBA championship, were knocked out in the first playoff round last time around.
