The Phoenix Suns reveal that new player Isaiah Thomas has undergone surgery on his left wrist, but still expect the guard to play a full part in their pre-season camp.

The Phoenix Suns have revealed that guard Isaiah Thomas has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his left wrist.

The team still expects the player to take part in their pre-season camp after going under the knife on Wednesday to make sure that he is in shape for next season.

Thomas only recently joined the Suns, having been brought in as part of a trade deal which was completed with the Sacramento Kings last month.

The next NBA season is due to commence on October 28.
