Brandon Knight: 'My heart was with Phoenix Suns'

Phoenix Suns guard Brandon Knight has insisted that his heart has always been with the franchise following his decision to re-sign at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The 23-year-old put pen to paper on a new multi-year deal last week, despite rumoured proposals from a number of other NBA sides.

"There was definitely interest from around the league, but my heart was here in Phoenix," Knight told Arizona Sports.

"I try to be professional about everything that I do, and there was no point in wasting their time if I knew I was going back to Phoenix."

Knight spent the backend of last season at the Suns after agreeing a move from the Milwaukee Bucks.
