Timberwolves promote Adelman

The Minnesota Timberwolves have promoted David Adelman to a new position as the team's assistant coach.

Adelman will now support his father, Timberwolves head coach Rick Adelman, after serving as a player development coach for two years.

The move comes as a reaction to the departure of Bill Bayno, who recently joined the Toronto Raptors as their new assistant coach.

Former Timberwolves point guard Bobby Jackson has been recruited to fill the vacancy left in the player development department.
