Kevin Garnett hopes to own Minnesota Timberwolves

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Garnett reveals that he would like to own former franchise the Minnesota Timberwolves after his playing career comes to an end.

Brooklyn Nets power forward Kevin Garnett has revealed that he would like to become the owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the future.

Garnett spent his first 12 seasons in the NBA in Minnesota as he emerged as a star of the league after being selected as the fifth overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft.

"I want to buy the Timberwolves. Put a group together and perhaps some day try to buy the team. That's what I want," Garnett told the media.

The 38-year-old is currently in his 20th season in the league, but he is in the final year of his contract with the Nets and it is speculated that he could consider retirement next year.

Garnett is averaging 8.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in 23.0 minutes per game so far this season, with Brooklyn at 4-4 through the opening eight games of their campaign.
