Rivers: 'Clippers must defend to win'

Doc Rivers has said that the Los Angeles Clippers must improve their defense in order to win games in the NBA.

The Clippers lost their second game of the season last night, as the Orlando Magic came from behind to secure a 98-90 victory.

The head coach told reporters: "You've just got to keep talking about it. We win games, we score 100 or whatever points, that's always fool's gold.

"Our offense is always fool's gold. You've got to defend to win. The good part about tonight is that was proven."

Point guard Chris Paul agreed, adding: "It's game five. Luckily we've got about 77 left, but we're not going to win games unless our defense gets better."

The Clippers play the Miami Heat later today.
