Griffin sidelined by knee injury

Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin suffered a bone bruise to his left knee on Wednesday, which forced him to miss practice the following day.

The 24-year-old is expected to play an integral role for the franchise this year, with new head coach Doc Rivers placing a great deal of faith in him.

"It's nothing bad. But he tweaked it," Rivers said, according to ESPN.

Rivers also currently has fitness concerns over JJ Redick and Matt Barnes.
