Boxing legend Oscar de la Hoya has hinted that he may team with Floyd Mayweather Jr to buy the Los Angeles Clippers.
The unbeaten Mayweather, who squares off against Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas this weekend, declared his interest in buying the Clippers after current owner Donald Sterling was banned for life for alleged racist comments.
Sky Sports News quotes De la Hoya as saying: "If [NBA commissioner] Adam Silver wants more minorities to be involved in the NBA, then what better way than to have me and Floyd be part of the [Clippers'] ownership group?"
Sterling was also fined $2.5m (£1.5m) by the NBA.
